Scotty Mcdonald, Iii

Scotty McDonald, III, 24, Topeka, died Wednesday June 1, 2005 at Stormont Vail Regional Health Center with injuries sustained while working for the Kansas Department of Transportation. He was born November 13, 1980 in Topeka, KS the son of Marvin Scott and Shirley House McDonald, Jr.
Scotty graduated from Topeka High School in 1999. He was active in a variety of sports while at Topeka High. Scotty was a Cub Scout in the Potwin area and later a Boy Scout. He was currently employed by the Kansas Department of Transportation as an equipment operator which he loved. Scotty made friends with everybody he met, he knew no strangers.
Scotty is survived by his parents, Marvin Scott and Shirley McDonald, Jr. Topeka; a sister, Jennifer McDonald, Manhattan; maternal grandmother, Marjorie House, Topeka; paternal grandmother, Doris Bixler, Valley Falls; paternal grandfather, Marvin Scott McDonald, Sr., Topeka; paternal grandmother, Joann McDonald, Topeka; companion, Cassi Smith, Topeka; and a host of family, friends and co-workers.
A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel in North Topeka. Interment will be at Prairie Home Cemetery.
Scotty will lie in state after 4:00 p.m., Friday, June 3, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
