OBITUARY: Sandra Kay Grubbs
Sandra Kay Grubbs, 62, Topeka, died Fri., March 11, 2011, at Stormont-Vail Hospital. She was born Feb. 21, 1949, the daughter of Paul E. and Betty R. (King) Williams. Sandra worked at Stormont-Vail Hospital for 30 years. She was an avid bingo player. Surviving are 2 daughters: Cindy L. Lee of Lee's Summit, MO, and Melissa D. Grubbs of Topeka; her father: Paul E. Williams of Topeka; a sister: Sue Shaffer of Topeka; a brother: Mike Williams, Sr. of Topeka; and 7 grandchildren: Lisa Grubbs, Tiffany Lee, Kayla Bouton, Mallory Lee, Dakota Bouton, Britney Bouton, and Jackson Lee. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter: Rebecca Deneault; her mother: Betty Williams; and a sister: Peggy Wainwright. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Wed., March 16, 2011, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave. Interment in Foster Cemetery. Sandra will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Tues., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1315 SW Arrowhead Road, Topeka, KS 66604.
