Sam "Skinny" Boyles

Sam "Skinny" Boyles, 36, Topeka, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004, in Stormont-Vail Hospital, Topeka. He was born Feb. 15, 1968, in Topeka, the son of Ira A. and Carlita M. Stallings Boyles. "Skinny" was a concrete laborer. He married Gaila R. Moore on May 14, 1988, at Topeka. She survives, of the home. Other survivors are a son, Jeremy Boyles, of the home; a daughter, Kara Boyles, of the home; two half-brothers, Rick and Dave, both of North Carolina; and a half-sister, Jackie, of California. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, in North Topeka. Burial will be in Mission Center Cemetery. "Skinny" will lie in state after 3 p.m. today at Parker-Price Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
