Sadie J. Biggart, 90, formerly of Topeka, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Delmar Gardens of Overland Park, KS. She was born August 4, 1923 in Wagner, OK, the daughter of James F. and Minnie Edwards Stockwell.

Sadie graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1942. She resided in Topeka, Wakarusa and Lyndon prior to moving to Overland Park in December, 2011. She was employed by Crown Drug and Robbies Restaurant.

Sadie married Carl L. Biggart on February 3, 1951 in Topeka. He preceded her in death in December, 1989. Survivors include her son, Richard L. Schroder of Lenexa, KS, two grandchildren, William R. Schroder of Shawnee, KS, Steven M. Schroder of Edwardsville, KS, six great-grandchildren and her brother, Hiram E. Stockwell of Topeka.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Sadie will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the funeral home.
