OBITUARY: S. Marie Harp
S. Marie Harp died Sun., July 27, 2008. She was born July 16, 1916, the daughter of the late Frank Charles and Nellie Mae (West) Doty. She attended Topeka Schools and Washburn High School. Marie was a member of First Assembly of God Church and the Auxillary to Philip Billard Post # 1650, VFW. She was married to Emil Stawitz in 1933, married to Frank W. Price, Sr. in 1942, and married to Dorsey E. Harp in 1976. All are deceased. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene M. Hunter. Marie is survived by a son: Frank W. Price, Jr. of Topeka; 2 granddaughters; 6 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Thurs., July 31, 2008, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. Interment in Mount Hope Cemetery. Marie will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Wed., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Kansas, 2900-H SW Oakley Ave., Topeka, KS 66614.
