Ruth N. Liggett, 95, of Topeka passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017. She was born October 25, 1921 at Topeka the daughter of Jason and Vera Place Liggett. Ruth was raised in rural North Topeka and later moved to Melvern. The family returned to Topeka where Ruth lived the rest of her life. She worked for over 40 years at Halls Lithograph Co. She retired as a supervisor. She was a longtime member of First Free Methodist Church in Topeka and served many years as the church secretary. Ruth had lived at the McCrite Retirement Community the past five years.
Survivors include her sister, Maxine Kebert of Topeka; nieces, Doris Hobbs of Topeka, Donna Tipton of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Carol Noland of Neodesha, Kansas; two nephews, Bobby Kebert of Milford, Kansas and Jimmie Kebert of Overbrook, Kansas; and twelve great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Ralph Liggett in 2010.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 am on Friday October 20, 2017 at the First Free Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka. Miss Liggett will lie in state from 1-6 on Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Free Methodist Church.
