Ruth Katherine Fargo
Ruth Katherine Fargo, 97, Topeka, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, at her residence. She was born on Aug.8, 1907, in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of Albert J. and Bertha May Barnes Pease She graduated from Topeka High School. She worked for Vital Statistics at the Kansas State Board of Health. She was a member of the Oakland United Methodist Church, and of the War Dads. She married David W. Fargo on May 28, 1932, in Oskaloosa. He died Oct. 13, 1991. Surviving are a son, Gary Fargo, Topeka; a daughter, Barbara M. Fargo, Atchison; a grandson, Steve Fargo, Whiting; a granddaughter, Leslie R. Mooers, Silver Lake; and two great - granddaughters, Elizabeth and Taylor Mooers, Silver Lake, Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Garden Chapel at Topeka Cemetery. Mrs. Fargo will lie in state after 3 p.m. Wednesday at Penwell - Gabel Parker-Price Cha pel in North Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Oakland United Methodist Church, 801 N.E.
