Ruth I. Naylor, 76, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011.

She was born Sept. 25, 1934 in Concordia, KS the daughter of Arthur U. and Gretta L. (Eakins) Hubert. She was employed by Jostens Yearbook in Topeka, retiring in 1994.

Ruth married Bob G. Naylor on Nov. 4, 1956 in Emporia. He preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 1997. She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert J. Naylor on Dec. 5, 2000 and 5 brothers. Survivors include two daughters, Nancy (Jerry) Runkle, Silver Lake and Linda Haight, Topeka; a daughter-in-law, Marion Naylor, K.C., MO; 7 grandchildren, Mike Whitmarsh, Michelle Winder, Mitchell Haight, Ashley Runkle, Leslie Runkle, Richard Hernandez and Sarah Hernandez; 8 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lewis Hubert, Georgia.

A funeral ceremony will be 10 a.m., Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608. Interment will follow at Topeka Cemetery. Mrs. Naylor will lie in state after 3 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas Dialysis, 634 SW Mulvane St. #300, Topeka, KS 66606.
