Ruth "Granny" Hodges Roach, 92, of Topeka, went home, Friday, August 24, 2007.
She was born March 15, 1915 in Topeka, Kansas the daughter of Frank and May Hodges. Ruth was a graduate of Topeka High School.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Roach was a member of SecondBaptistChurch.
She was married to Thadius Roach. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her son, Thadius "Sonny" Roach, Jr. and her brother Frank Hodges. Survivors include two sons, Bobby and his wife Katherine Roach and John Roach both of California, her grandchildren, Shawn and La Wanda Roach, Trent and LaKisha Goudeau, Johnny McMurray and Johnny Goldrich all of Topeka; Shannon, Rhonda, Rodney, Bobby, Jr., Anthony, Derrick, Daniel, Olivia and Harmony Roach all of California; and a host of great grandchildren.
Mrs. Roach will lie in state after 3:00pm Monday at the Penwell-Gabel Parker Price Chapel where the family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. that evening.
