Ruth Easum

Ruth M. Easum, 87, Corona, CA formerly of Grantville, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004 at Corona Regional Medical Center. She was born July 22, 1917 in Topeka, KS the daughter of Clarence "Patsy" C. and Etta May Eiserman Cool. She graduated from Seaman High School. Ruth was a member of Grantville United Methodist Church, Order of Easter Star #421 of Perry, KS, and Ada Chapter in Lawrence. She worked at Stormont-Vail Hospital, Posey Department Store and Marks Fashions. Ruth married Samuel M. Easum, Oct. 23, 1934 in Warrensburg, MO he died June 9, 1985. Survivors include a daughter, Rita S. Easum, Corona, CA; a son, Ralph M. Easum, Riverside, CA, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 30, 2004 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel in North Topeka. Interment will be in Grantville Cemetery. Mrs. Easum will lie in state after 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday.
