OBITUARY: Russell Duane Tolbert
Russell Duane Tolbert, 48, Topeka, died Tues., Nov. 22, 2005, at Eventide Convalescent Center. He was born July 22, 1957, at Topeka the son of Farrel Duane and Peggy Joyce (Aaron) Tolbert. He was preceded in death by his father on Feb. 1, 2002, and a brother, Matt, on June 11, 2005.
Russell was an assistant manager for Food 4 Less.
He was married to Kelli Brandenburgh; they were divorced in 1991.
Surviving are his mother, Peggy Tolbert, of Topeka; a daughter Jennifer Lynn Bauman and her husband, Jeremy, of Topeka; maternal grandfather and step-grandmother: Al and Bonna Aaron of Carbondale; a step-daughter: Jamie Baumgartner and her husband, Troy of Lecompton; 2 step-sons: Jody Brandenburgh and Jeff Brandenburgh both of Topeka; 2 sisters: Toni Cripps and her campanion, Donald Hajek, and Karen Rhoades and her husband, J.R., all of Topeka; a brother: Keith Tolbert, and his wife, Madeline, of Topeka; a sister-in-law: Karen Tolbert of Eudora; 3 grandchildren: Joseph, Trenton, and Trinity Bauman all of Topeka; 4 step-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Sat. Nov. 26, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence. Committal services will be private. Russell will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Friday at the Parker-Price Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday.
