OBITUARY: Russell L. Beach
Russell L. Beach, 82, of Topeka and St. Joseph, MO died Friday, June 24, 2005 at his St. Joseph residence. He was born Aug. 4, 1922 at Havensville, KS the son of Arthur and Della (Johnson) Beach.
He graduated from Emmett High School in 1941 and served in the U.S. Army during W.W. II. He owned and operated Beach Trucking at St. Joseph. He was a member of Moose Lodge # 555 of Topeka.
On Sept. 9, 1943 Russell was married to Mary "Bernice" Trezise at Topeka. She preceded him in death on Dec. 8, 1995.
Surviving are 2 sons: Dennis Beach of Baldwin City, KS and Dallas Beach of Topeka; 4 daughters: Mary Beach of Lenexa, KS, Debbie Springer of Littleton, CO,. Janet Logan of Topeka, and Ramona Pilecki of LaPorte, IN; 2 sisters: Olive Vorse and Myrtle Davin both of Topeka; and 6 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tues., June 28, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence, North Topeka. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Topeka. Mr. Beach will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday.
