Ruby M. Wilson
Ruby M. Wilson, 73, Topeka, died Monday, Dec. 19, 2005 at her home.
She was born Dec. 1, 1932 in Leavenworth, the daughter of Henry G. and Alice M. Boyd Ritt. She was raised in Leavenworth and in Valley Falls, and graduated from Valley Falls High School. She had lived in Topeka about 50 years.
Mrs. Wilson worked for Stauffer Communications Corporate Offices from 1979 until retiring from Morris Communications in 1997. She attended North Rock Baptist Temple.
She was married to Charles E. Wilson for more than 30 years. They later divorced. He survives of Topeka.
Other survivors include a son, Terry A. Wilson and his wife, Sherri of Topeka; a daughter, Kim D. Sowards and her husband, Kevin of Meriden; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Parker Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence. Interment will be in Valley Falls Cemetery.
Mrs. Wilson will lie in state after noon Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6-7:30 pm.
