OBITUARY: Ruby May Fountaine
Ruby May Fountaine, 88, Topeka, died Sat., Dec. 1, 2012. She was born Jan. 10, 1924, in Topeka, the daughter of Everett C. and Flora M. (Randall) Disney.
She was married to Richard E. Fountaine on Nov. 22, 1942. He preceded her in death on June 27, 1988. She was also preceded in death by a son, Kevin, on June 23, 1991. Surviving are 3 children: Dennis E. Fountaine of Topeka, Kimberly D. Fountaine-Howard of Racine, WI, and Gregg A. Fountaine of Topeka; 2 sisters: Betty Ashley of Topeka and Marlene Funk of Arkansas; 3 grandchildren: Derek Fountaine, Jessica Lynn, and Tracey Sandmeyer; 5 great-grandchildren: Jaidyn Fountaine, Grace Lynn, and Steven, Sophie and Sydney Sandmeyer; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM, Thurs., Dec. 6, 2012, at West Lawn Memorial Gardens, 820 SW Auburn Road. Ruby will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Wed., at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave., where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ruby M. Fountaine Memorial Fund, 4439 NE Indian Creek Road, Topeka, KS 66617.
