Rowena O. Scarboro, 89, of Topeka, passed away on August 15, 2021 at Brewster Place.

She was born on August 19, 1931 to Neville and Bethel (Bickell) Basel in Topeka, KS.
Rowena graduated from Topeka High School in 1949.

Rowena worked as a Office Assistant for Kansas Department of Education where she retired.
She was a member of Lowman United Methodist Church in Topeka, she was a 50 year member of the Order of The Eastern Star Helena Chapter 210. Rowena love to read all types of book, sewing, and quilting. She also enjoyed attending live music concerts.

She married Clarence Scarboro in Topeka on September 19, 1954.

Rowena is survived by her children, Lyle (Pam) Scarboro and Martin Scarboro.

She was preceded in death by her Husband Clarence; her parents, Sisters, Arlene Anderson, Iris Price, Judy McCoy; Brothers, Fred Basel and Charles Basel.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 24, 2021, 10:00 am at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Topeka, Kansas. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am. Graveside Service will follow at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
