Rosemary S. Purvis, 83, of Topeka, passed away on January 8, 2023. She was surrounded by her family and friends.
Rosemary was born on October 24, 1939 to Magdalen and Paul Schwartz in Topeka, Kansas. She graduated from Hayden High School.
Rosemary retired after 43 years from Santa Fe/ BNSF.
Together, Larry and Rosemary enjoyed camping at Lake Perry and boating. She loved to be with family and friends and Rosemary was known for hosting gatherings.
She was married to Larry Purvis on October 23, 1959 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Topeka.
Rosemary is survived by her children, Jean (Jim) Schneider and Pam Cohee; sister, Delores Hartner; grandchildren, Jon, Jake, Kayla, Katie, and Ryan; and 3 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Larry; her daughter Jan Burrous; her sister, Pat Doll; and both of her parents.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 13, 2023, at Parker-Price Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 pm.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023, 11:00 am at Parker Price Funeral Home with
graveside service to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery .
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Elara Caring Hospice.
