Ronald R. "Ron" Dreyer, 70, of Topeka, KS, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013.
He was born July 29, 1943 in Lawrence, KS, the son of Cloyd Lee and Helen Virginia (Deskins) Dreyer. He was a graduate of Perry Rural High School. He attended Washburn University on a football scholarship.
Ron worked for various employments and retired as a State of Kansas Correctional Facility Officer after 19 years of service.
Ron enjoyed restoring older Ford vehicles and provided Ford parts and engines for many.
Survivors include two sons, Robert and William; two sisters, Deb (Tim) Dillner, Mayetta and Sharon S. Cochren, Circleville; a brother, Duane Dreyer, Hoyt; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his father, his mother, Helen Brune, and a sister-in-law, Bobbie Dreyer.
Cremation is planned. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the Penwell-Gabel Family Center, 1940 NW Central Ave, Topeka.
