Ronald "Radio" Flournoy

Ronald “Radio” Flournoy, age 56, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020 at his home in Topeka.  Ron was born March 27, 1964 in Jacksonville, Florida the son of Joseph and Edna (Norman) Flournoy.  He graduated from Clay High School in Jacksonville, Florida.  Ron served in the U.S. Navy.  After the Navy, Ron worked as a security guard and an over-the-road truck driver.  Ron is survived by a brother, Joseph Flournoy of Ocala, Florida; a sister, Virginia “Jenny” Baxter of Benton, Tennessee, and  17 nieces and nephews, Jeremy Adams, Alex Adams, Ryan Adams, Jessilyn Adams and Katilyn Adams; one great niece and a shipmate, Ronald Wayman of Topeka.

Ron was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints, Kaw Valley Ward in Topeka.

Funeral services will be virtual Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Ron Wayman’s home, 125 SW Western Ave., Topeka. He will lie in state after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday with visitation from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. CST on zoom. Graveside services will be Friday, December 18, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery in Emporia.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald Flournoy Trust set up at Kaw Valley Bank.
