Ronald L. "Butch" Cook, 75, Topeka, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018.
He was born December 8, 1942, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Lindsay and Edna (Mattox) Cook.
He was a U.S. veteran serving in the Marine Corps.
Butch was a brick mason for many years doing beautiful work throughout the city until he retired.
Butch married Maria Cuevas on June 17, 1963 in Topeka, Kansas. She survives. Other survivors include his children: Ryan Cook, Nashville, TN and Lisa Cook (Tony), Topeka; grandson, Joshua Larson, Topeka; sister, Pat Raby, Topeka and step-grandchildren: Samone, Cole and Keagan Cook.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Gerry Tice, Delphine Magee and Bill Cook.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2018 with a memorial service to follow at 12:00 noon at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 245 N.W. Independence Avenue, Topeka, Kansas 66604.
A reception will follow the memorial service at the Parker-Price Reception Center, 1940 NW Central Avenue, Topeka.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VA Medical Center and in the memo line please note VA Horticulture Center, 2200 SW Gage Blvd, Topeka, KS 66622.
