Roger Lee Stirrett, 67, of Topeka, passed away Monday, June 27, 2022.
He was born October 7, 1954, in Champaign, Illinois, the son of Ralph and Jessie (Archer) Stirrett. He graduated from Gene Blake Cosmetology School, Topeka, KS 1979.
Roger owned and operated the Hairport in North Topeka starting in 1989 and continued to serve his customers for 33 years.
He was a member of Golden Rule Masonic Lodge No. 90 AF&AM of North Topeka and Arab Shrine of Topeka.
Roger married Patti Lynn Gomez on July 18, 1987 in Topeka. Survivors include his children, Jacob Stirrett of Topeka and Jessica Stirrett and husband, Travis Grooms of Meriden, KS; his companion, Patti Stirrett of Topeka; three grandsons, Benjamin Grooms, Levi Grooms, Lucas Grooms; his step-son Michael Gomez; his brother, Ralph Stirrett and his wife, Linda of Clay Center, KS; three sisters, Linda Wilson and her husband, Phil of El Dorado, Glenda Ripke of Clay Center and Marjorie Gilmore of Coweta, OK.
Roger loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. His hobbies included Playing pool with Best Buds, Eating Good Food, Dreaming, Antique Car Enthusiast, Fishing, Broncos Fan, Outlaw, Friend To All, Teacher, Father, Family, Dressing his mannequin, Sally, Dirt Track Racing, Freedom, Botanicals, Building trikes, Good Music & Great Times, Adventures & Most Important Giving You The Haircut You Needed.
Honoring his request, cremation is planned. A celebration of life will be held from 2:00 p.m., until the last memory is shared, Sunday, July 10, 2022 at the Hairport, 1015 NW Topeka Blvd., Topeka, KS 66608. Roger's family encourages those attending to bring a side dish, lawn chair and dress casual.
