Rodney Kent Fobes
Rodney Kent Fobes, 66, Topeka, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital's Emergency Room. He was born October 2, 1949, in Fargo, ND, the son of Kenneth Grant and Laura Mae (Bronson) Fobes.
He was graduated from San Pedro High School (California). He served in the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. Rodney moved to Topeka in 1975. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 30 years of service.
Rodney was married to Mary Miles on September 11, 1971, in Atchison. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Rory Grant Fobes (Angela) of Manhattan and Tyler Kent "Captain Awesome" Fobes of Topeka; and five grandchildren: Christian, Nathan, Hayley, Maddie and Camden.
Graveside services and interment of cremains will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 11, 2016, at Prairie Home Cemetery, NW 35th & Menoken Road, Topeka, with Rev. Jennifer Jackson of First Lutheran Church officiating.
