Rocksie Pearl Kahler, 93 of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Midland Hospice House. She was born on March 12, 1918 in Helena, Montana to William Harold and Pearl (Taber) Zimmerman.
Rocksie received her Certified Nurses Aid Certificate from KAVTS and was employed with Kelly's Home Services, where she received employee of the year. She also worked with a local hospice facility.
Rocksie is survived by her three children, Elsie P. (John) Cromika of Ohio, Mary E. (Myron) Bump of Wichita and Delbert L. Kahler of Topeka; seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel. Private family burial will take place in the Dover Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Care Hospice Services, 200 SW Frazier Cir, Topeka, KS 66606.
