Roberta P. (Tabbert) Doty Henley, 91, of Topeka, passed away Friday, September 10, 2021.
She was born May 21, 1930, in Oskaloosa, Kansas, the daughter of Louie and Alma (Dick) Tabbert. She graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1948 as Valedictorian.
Roberta married Alvin Doty on December 31, 1949 in Oskaloosa, Kansas. Alvin preceded her in passing on October 3, 1960. She married R.E. Henley on November 8, 1963 in Topeka, Kansas.
She was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and was a part of the Menninger Bible Study group.
Roberta held a variety of office jobs, but her favorite job was being a wife, mom, and grandma. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending her free time with her grandchildren. Roberta also enjoyed cooking and baking, especially cookies, pies and jello salads. Other hobbies included working in her garden, planting flowers, and doing crossword puzzles. She loved Christmas music and listened to it year round.
Roberta is survived by her husband; children, Kim Doty, Kasey (Janelle) Henley, Krystal (Kevin) Burenheide; grandchildren, Madison and Kaden Henley, Klaire and Kaleb Sarver, and Brianna, Cole and Austin Burenheide; siblings, Mary Sutter, Eugene (Joan) Tabbert and Don (Patti) Tabbert and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Rheinetta Doty and Marvin Tabbert.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021, 11:00 am at the Prairie Home Cemetery, Topeka, Kansas.
