Robert W. "Bob" Clarke, 81, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2010.
He was born April 30, 1929 in Topeka, the son of Willard and Eunice (Hamm) Clarke. He was a graduate of Seaman High School. He served in the U.S. Army.
He was employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, retiring after 30 years of service. He was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, Local No. 301 Rubber Workers Union and had served as a Volunteer Firefighter for the Kaw Township Fire Department, Grantville.
Bob married Wilma Apollo on November 19, 1960 in Topeka. She survives.
A memorial ceremony will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at the Atrium at Lexington Park Independent Living, 1011 SW Cottonwood Ct., Topeka. A graveside ceremony will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Topeka. Mr. Clarke will lie in state from 3-7 p.m., Monday at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka. Memorial contributions may be made to Kaw Township Fire Department.
