Robert W. Victor Sr. passed from this life the morning of December 22, 2017. He was born December 25, 1938 in Topeka, Kansas to Frank and Irene (Brown) Victor, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, JoAnn Gillaspie Victor, and children Elizabeth Victor Hargrove (John), Nancy Victor Dunham (Russell), and Robert William Victor Jr., Grandchildren Patricia Hargrove, and Russell and Ashley Dunham, and brother Frank R Victor, MD ( Geraldine).
After graduating Topeka High School, he attended Washburn University, and pursued photography for several years. For many years he was a member of the Kansas Professional Photographers Association and Professional Picture Framers Association. He owned and operated Bob Victor's Mid America Chops, a picture frame manufacturer in Topeka.
He was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church. He was active in SCORE as a mentor for small business.
As a youth he was active in Boy Scouts, and achieved the Silver Award in the Exploring program. He served in the Kansas National Guard. He was an avid pilot, with a passion for flight.
A memorial service will held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the First Baptist Church, 3033 SW MacVicar Ave., Topeka.
