Robert Neal Prochaska

January 12, 1928 — December 22, 2020

Robert Neal Prochaska, 92, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020.

He was born January 12, 1928, in Simpson, Kansas, the son of Will and Theresa (Clark) Prochaska. He graduated from Silver Lake High School.
Robert was employed at GoodYear Tire & Rubber Company for 40 years, retiring in 1985 as supervisor.
He was a member of the Mother Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church. Neal officiated for many years with high school and college sports, traveling all over the state of Kansas. He was inducted into Kansas Hall of Fame for Officiating in 2012. He was an avid KState Football and basketball fan, enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events. He loved to be outside, building birdhouses, mowing, and taking care of his farm.

Robert married Doris Leola Frey on April 16 in Topeka, Kansas, they celebrated 75 years of marriage this year. Survivors include his wife, Doris; their children John (Teresa) Prochaska, Leanea (Randy) Wales, Trudy (Kirk) Kelly, Patty (Rick) Howell, Danny (Linda) Prochaska, and Diana Prochaska; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Harold and Max Prochaska.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 10:30 am at Mother Teresa Catholic Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mother Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church or officiating foundation (do research).
