Buddy Kemp
Robert Morris "Buddy" Kemp III, 41, died Sunday, March 23, 2003, when he was stricken at home. He had an apparent heart attack.
He was born March 31, 1961, in Topeka, to Robert Morris and Marjorie Elaine Wells Kemp. He graduated from Seaman High School and spent most of his life in Topeka. He was an automotive technician for Darrell's Texaco on S.W. 21st.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
He married Debra Anne White Spencer on Sept. 26, 1997, in Topeka. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Robert Morris "Little Buddy" Kemp IV, at home, Jeff Spencer, Topeka, and Jason Spencer, San Diego; his mother, Marjorie E. Kemp, Topeka; and four sisters, Connie Boydston, Beverly Boyd and Vicki Chilton, all in Topeka, and Virginia Watson, Lincoln, Neb.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mr. Kemp will lie in state after 1 p.m. today at Parker-Price Mortuary, where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m.
