Robert Lee Scully, 85, of Perry, passed away Saturday, March 03, 2012. He was born January 22, 1927 in Wamego, KS, the son of Leo and Marie Scully. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II.
Mr. Scully was employed as a route salesman for Guys Foods and later for Borden, retiring in 1989.
He was an avid golfer and bowler, bowling in leagues in Topeka. In his younger days he raced at Happy Hollow Speedway and other dirt tracks.
Robert married Josephine Ann Torneden on December 31, 1953 in Topeka. She preceded him in death on October 3, 2003. He was also preceded in death by a son, Rodney Scully, four brothers, and a sister. Survivors include a daughter, Roxanne (Thomas) Anderson, Pawnee Rock, KS; a son, Roscoe (Tina) Scully, Perry, KS; five grandsons; a brother, James Scully, Blue Springs, MO.
Mr. Scully was cremated. Family will be receiving friends on Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 12:30 -1:30 p.m., followed by a memorial ceremony at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608.
