OBITUARY: Robert L. Schuenight
Robert Lindy Schuenight, 84, Ozawkie, died Sunday, April 28, 2013, at his home. He was born August 13, 1928, to Cora May (Emery) and William Joseph Schuenight in Topeka.
Bob served four years in the United State Air Force. Bob was an electrician at Goodyear, retiring after 20 years. He had served as mayor of Ozawkie for eight years.
Bob and Judy were married in Oklahoma in 1988, living in Ozawkie. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughters: Barbara Laird and Linda Schuenight both of Topeka, and Nancy Schuenight of Denver, Colorado; a step-daughter: Beth Kittle of McLouth; grandchildren: Greg Laird of California, Ashley Laird of Topeka, Jessica and Brad Ayres of Ozawkie, Chris Kittle and Melissa Gomez of Topeka, and Christina Baker-Long of Hoyt; and three great-grandchildren: Nathan and Savanah Ayres and Kylie Kittle. He was preceded in death by two sons: Ronald and Michael Schuenight; and a step-son: Rick Kittle.
Memorial services will be at 6:00 PM, Friday, May 3, 2013, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka. Memorial contributions may be made to Rock Creek Bible Church Youth Group, 5257 K-92 Highway, Meriden, KS 66512.
