Robert K. Holly, Jr., of Topeka passed away on February 26, 2024 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka surrounded by his family. He was born January 13, 1948 in Topeka the son of Robert K. Holly, Sr. and Marjorie Monnick Holly. He graduated from Washburn Rural High school. Following high school he served in the United States Navy. Returning home, he worked for over 41 years for the Union Pacific Railroad as a Yardmaster, Conductor and Switchman in Topeka and Kansas City.
He was married to Beverly Goodson on December 14, 1985. Robert and Beverly enjoyed nearly 45 years together. They enjoyed their trips and time spent together. Beverly was the love of his life. She passed away on December 20, 2020.
He enjoyed going on trips and camping in his fifth-wheel, going to pow wows in Oklahoma, camping in Texas, Missouri and at the Lake Shawnee Campground. He loved football, the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Kansas City Chiefs were his favorite teams. He was a Ham Radio Operator, and member of the NRA and Ambassador's Club of the Topeka Police Department. Most of all Robert's family was very important to him.
His survivors include his children, Jeanette Holly and husband Bryan Manis of Topeka and son, James Holly and wife Loucinda of Strafford, Missouri; grandchildren, Victoria Moe, Tristan Moe, Brandon Holly, Bryce Manis, Cameron Manis, Brandon Manis, Robert Holly, Zachary Mullings, and Amber Gail Holly; great grandchildren, Jacob Moe, Brynli Freel, Jerome Freel, Kouvr Moe, Octavia Moe, Carsyn-Lee King, and Laney Manis.
He was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Aurora Le-Ann King, his wife Beverly and his parents, Robert and Marjorie.
