Robert Hendrix

Robert James "Bob" Hendrix, 55, passed away January 12, 2006 at a local Topeka Hospital. He was born on December 17, 1950 in Topeka, the son of James and Gertrude McMahan Hendrix. His father survives. Bob attended school in Topeka, served in the Marine Corps, and was a Viet-Nam veteran. He was an active member of the Topeka Chapter of VVA and had retired from Goodyear Tire. Bob enjoyed working with ceramics and especially loved his grandchildren.
Survivors include one daughter, Robin Perry of Topeka; four sisters; Mary Hoffman, Topeka, Sheryl Bieker, Scranton, Betty Jo Saylors, Brighton, TN, and Virginia McCall of Wakeeney; two brothers, Don Hendrix and Jerry Hendrix, both of Topeka, four grandchildren; Cassandra, Austin, Crystal, and Jayden.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel in Topeka.
