Robert Linsley "Bob" Hainline, 66, of McLouth, Kansas, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022.
He was born July 21, 1956, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Francis Eugene and Betty Irene (Fowler) Kern. He was a graduate of Silver Lake High School and received a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Washburn University.
Bob was employed by the State of Kansas for 35 years, retiring in 2013.
He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and attended the McLouth Baptist Church.
Bob married Barbara Jo Stolle on September 1, 1979, in Topeka, Kansas. She survives in McLouth. Other survivors include three children, Kelly (Travis) Northup of Olathe, KS, Kyle Hainline of Overland Park, KS and Casey (Jennifer) Hainline; his granddaughter, Emery Northup; 3 grandsons, William Northup, Tanner Northup, Asher Hainline, and Baby Boy due September 27, his mother, Betty Kern of Topeka; and his sister, Marjorie (Perry) Taylor of Topeka, KS.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Francis E. Hainline.
Bob enjoyed his family including grandchildren, nieces and nephews, his Labrador retrievers, the Chiefs, coaching, refereeing, fishing, hunting, Ducks Unlimited banquets, cooking, rock and roll and Jimmy Buffet music. Bob was onery. He was always telling jokes, teasing others, and making people laugh. He was the life of the party and knew how to make everything fun. He was a father figure for more than just his children. He spent countless hours on the ball fields coaching all three of his kids in various sports. Kids and animals loved him. He always had a sparkle in his eye, especially when he dressed up as Santa for the Dabinawa community. Bob will truly be missed.
Honoring his request, cremation is planned. A memorial ceremony will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at the Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS. Family will receive friends, one hour prior, starting at 12:00 p.m.
