OBITUARY: Robert G. "Bobby" Gilchrist
Robert G. "Bobby" Gilchrist, 65, Topeka, died Thurs., March 18, 2010, of natural causes. He was born March 22, 1944, in Topeka, the son of William and Dorothy (Dahlstrom) Gilchrist. Bobby loved animals of all kinds; he would take care of any stray animals that came by his home. Surviving are siblings: Charlotte Yost of Topeka, Sandra Everhart (Dr. Francis) of New Port Richey, FL, Bill Gilchrist (Linda) of Topeka, and Deborah Halstead of Topeka; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM, Tues., March 23, 2010, at Half-Day Cemetery, NW 62nd & Highway 75, Elmont. Bobby will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Mon., at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave., where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 NW Rochester Road, Topeka, KS 66617.
