Robert Alan Fairhurst

Robert Alan Fairhurst, 30, Topeka, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2004, in a car accident with his nephew, Krystopher Griffeth. He was born Dec. 30, 1973, in Topeka, the son of William Wiseman and Julie A. Fairhurst. He attended Seaman High School. He had been a Topeka resident all his life. Survivors include his son Holden Fairhurst, Topeka; mother, Julie Fairhurst, Topeka; his brother and sister-in-law, William and Christina Fairhurst, Topeka; his brother, Thomas Fairhurst, Topeka; his sister, Vicki Schweda, Oskaloosa; and his maternal grandmother, Lucille Friesen, Topeka. Double funeral services for Mr. Fairhurst and Krystopher Griffeth will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel. Burial will be in Penwell Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery. Robert Fairhurst will lie in state after 3 p.m. Wednesday, where family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Mercy Hospital, 2401 Gilham Road, Kansas City, Mo., 64108.
