OBITUARY: Robert E. Graham, Jr.
Robert E. Graham, Jr., 87, Topeka, died Wed., Aug. 9, 2006. He was born May 18, 1919 in Grafton, WV to Robert E. Graham and Ava R. (Carter) Graham.
He graduated from Grafton, WV High School. He worked as a welder for Baltimore and Ohio Railroad and served in the Army during World War II. He moved to Topeka in 1960 to work as a welder for the Santa Fe Railroad and retired in 1981. He was an avid fisherman and woodcarver. He was a member of the Oakland United Methodist Church.
Bob was married to Geraldine Hufford on Aug. 10, 1941 in Oakland, MD. He was preceded in death by his wife on Sept. 4, 2000.
Survivors include a son: Robert E. Graham III of Portland, TX; a brother: Paul Graham of Macon, GA; a grandson: Franklin R. Graham of Culpeper, VA; and a great-grandson: Mark "Three" Graham of Culpeper, VA.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m, Thurs., Aug. 17, 2006, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence. Interment will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum.
