Robert "Mike" Brady

December 31, 1954 — February 14, 2024

Robert Michael Brady passed away peacefully on February 14, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.

"Mike", as he was affectionately known, was born on December 31, 1954 to William and Mary Lu Brady in Topeka, Kansas. He attended Topeka West High school and graduated in 1972. In 1981 Mike began working as a manager at the East Topeka Kmart and in 1989 he transferred to the North Topeka Kmart where he met his soul mate Deanna. On September 14, 1998 the two were married in the backyard of their home surrounded by their friends and family. Mike excitedly took on the role of Dad to Deanna's daughters Rachel and Sarah and on December 4 of 1999 they welcomed their son Nicholas.

Mike spent his retirement renovating houses with his wife which combined his passion for antique restoration and woodworking. When he wasn't restoring furniture and houses with Deanna, Mike had a passion for coin collecting. He appreciated the history and the thrill of finding rare and unique artifacts.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Deanna; son Nicholas Brady (Alexandra); daughters Rachel Riedmann (Garrett) and Sarah Anderson (Brady); grandchildren Silas, Ansley, Eden, Abel, Jonah, Asher, and August; Step-father Harvey Mayer; brothers William Brady (Mariko) and Shawn Brady (Sandee); sister Cindy Nelson (Larry) and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father William Brady; his mother Mary Lu Mayer; his son Lucas Brady; and his brother Timothy Brady.
