Robert Michael Bailey

Robert Michael Bailey, Sr., age 65 of Topeka passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019 at his home in Topeka. Robert was born a twin to James and Ruth Anna (Johnson) Bailey, Sr. on March 17, 1954 in Topeka, Kansas. Robert graduated from Shawnee Heights High School. Robert was married to Martha Bailey, they later divorced. He married Marilyn Raines April 17, 1991 in Topeka. She survives. Robert was a hardworking handyman, working for Metzger Tent Company, Kansas University, Shawnee County Parks and Recreation at Lake Shawnee and UPS. He also worked alongside his twin brother, Ray, cutting grass throughout Topeka. Robert was preceded in death by a son, Robert “Bobby” Bailey, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn of over 28 years; two sons, Michael A. Bailey and Daniel Bailey; a daughter, Ruth Anna Bailey; three brothers, William A. Johnson, James F. Bailey and Ray P. Bailey; two sisters, Shirley A. Bailey and Mary Lou Kiener, along with several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, all who loved him very much. He was very close to his family and they all meant a great deal to him. Robert will be missed by many.

Funeral services will be Friday, November 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour before from 10:00 a.m. until service time also at the funeral home.
