Robert "Bones" Asher

Robert Eugene Asher, 60, Topeka, Kansas, died peacefully in his home on June 18, 2021.  Robert was born May 24, 1961 in Topeka, the son of Clifford Asher, Jr. and Edna (Price) Robertson.   Robert attended Topeka Public Schools.   He was employed as a commercial Mason Tender with Merillat Masonry before he retired.

Survivors include his children, Ryan (Tiffany) Asher and Kassi (Michael) McDowell; siblings, three sisters and one brother, Vicki Merillat, Charles Armstrong, Lynda Gray and Tina Gonzales; six grandchildren; and nine nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edna Robertson and Clifford Asher, Jr. and his grandparents, Charles (Zeke) Price, Sr. and Eleanor Price.

Robert was a lifelong K-State fan as well as a Raiders Football fan.   Most of his time was spent planning events around football games and basketball games for all his friends to enjoy.  He loved to entertain and cook…for all were invited. Robert had a passion for fishing and camping. Robert was one of the simplest people to please and be around.  He truly enjoyed life one day at a time.  Robert had a heart of gold and whatever was his was yours.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the memorial service begins at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 5, 2021 at Davidson Funeral Home.  Following services, there will be a dinner at the Post 400 on Highway 24 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  All are welcome.
