OBITUARY: Robert Arthur Keehn, Sr.
Robert A. Keehn, Sr., 81, Topeka, died Fri. morning, March 30, 2007, at a son's home. He was born Dec. 1, 1925, at K.C., MO, the son of Emily E. (Hunt) and Theodore W. Keehn, Sr.
Bob had worked for the U.P. Railroad (5 years); Seymour's (20 years); and the Goodyear Plant (20 years). He was a member of Mother Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church and had been a long-time member of Assumption Catholic Church.
He was married to Regina Rose Welch on Sept. 5, 1945, at Wetmore. She survives of the home.
Surviving in addition to his wife are 2 daughters: Rose Williams of Hoyt and Mary Ellen Fulkerson of Goff; 7 sons: Robert Keehn, Jr. of Holton, Steven Keehn of Springfield, MO, Ronald Keehn of Prairie Village, William Keehn of Perry, James "J.C." Keehn of Topeka, Joseph Keehn of Shawnee, and Gerald Keehn of Topeka; a brother: Theodore Keehn, Jr. of Holton; 42 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM, Wed., April 4, 2007, at Mater Dei Parish -- Assumption Church, 204 SE Eighth, Topeka. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Hoyt. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM, Tues., at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka. Bob will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Tues., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 PM.
