Richard Martinez

Richard Martinez, 79, of Topeka passed away on September 19, 2022.   He was born December 10, 1941 in Topeka the son of Pedro and Christine Mattwaoshshe.   Richard graduated from Topeka High School.  He as a machinist by trade working for heating and cooling companies in Oklahoma and Iowa.  Later he was a bus driver for Seaman School District.   He was a member of the Prairie Band of Pottawatomi.

He was married to Vera Lester.  Vera passed away on August 26, 2020.

Richard is survived by his sister, Sylvia Mattaoshshe of Topeka; two sons ”Ricki” Martinez and Rudolph Martinez.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday September 30, 2022 at the Dance Grounds Cemetery west of Mayetta. www.davidsonfuneral.com
