Richard D. Jones, 76, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024.
He was born January 25, 1948, in Topeka, Kansas, the son on Una and Leonard Jones.
Richard had a strong faith. He attended Central Presbyterian Church for many years. He treasured his dear friend Wanda Barnes who would give him rides to church.
He enjoyed crocheting afghans and pot holders and giving them away. He also loved playing bingo and do art.
Richard had a huge heart and was a joy to be around.
He worked at TARC for numerous years.
Richard received residential services from SLI.
His cat Nicole meant the absolute world to him.
He leaves behind friends John Montgomery, John Spencer, Larry Cohee, Jeff Cohee and Paula O'Brian to name a few.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Barbara J. Jones.
Graveside Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Topeka Cemetery at the Garden Chapel in Topeka.
