Richard F. Holthaus, 57, Topeka, was found, Friday, May 6, 2005 at his home. He was born May 15, 1947 in Oakland, California the son of Roy and Maxine Miller Holthaus.
He owned and operated R & H Lawn Service from 1975 to 2003. He was employed by Heifner Nursery from 1970 to present.
Mr. Holthaus married Goldie Magers in Las Vegas, NV, she died Aug. 24, 2001. He was also preceded in death by his father, Roy Hothaus.
Survivors include his mother, Maxine Holthaus Tebow, Wichita; two sister, Ruby Babcock, Pittsburg, KS; and Delores Alcorn, Wichita; a cousin Dale Miller, Topeka; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel in North Topeka. Interment will be in West Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Holthaus will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at Penwell- Gabel Parker-Price Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
