He was preceded in death by his parents, Thorald and Doris (Eklund) Bettis of Piper, Kansas and close friend Sue Hunter of Topeka. He is survived by his 3 sisters, Janet (Tom) Hindley, Linda (Steve) Solcich, Nancy Hughes, 1 brother Steve (Judy) Bettis, and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
