OBITUARY: Richard Allen Faith, Sr.
Richard Allen Faith, Sr., 60, of Meriden, KS, formerly of Silver Lake, KS, died Saturday, December 1, 2012, at Colmery-O'Neil VAMC, Topeka. He was born February 24, 1952, in Omaha, Nebraska. Richard attended public schools and college at Tucson, AZ. He served in the U.S. Army. He had worked for the State of Arizona, Department of Corrections. Richard was a member of Jefferson Assembly of God, Meriden; Topeka North Post # 400 of the American Legion; and the D.A.V.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Doris Faith.
Richard was married to Sylvia Katherine Pierce on February 24, 1973, at Lexington, MO.
Surviving are his wife Sylvia of the home; two sons: Richard A. Faith, Jr. of Meriden, KS and Nathaniel R. Faith (Stacey) of Marysville, KS; and four grandchildren: Richard A. Faith III, Errika L. Faith, Randolph C. Faith, and Andrew J. Faith.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM, Thursday, December 6, 2012, at Jefferson Assembly of God. Topeka North Post # 400 of the American Legion will conduct military honors at 2:30 PM, Thursday, at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Wadsworth, KS. Richard will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Wednesday, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.
