Rebecca S. Pilgrim

Rebecca (Becky) S. Pilgrim (Sheddan) age 75 of Carbondale, Kansas. passed away unexpectedly on Thursday April 14, 2022.  Becky was the daughter of Marion and Marjorie (Reagan) Sheddan.

She was born September 3, 1946 in Monroe, Louisiana.  She graduated from Carbondale High School in 1964.  While attending college she met and married Roy H. Rogers.  They moved to Texas and were blessed with 2 children.  She married Paul Pilgrim in 1983.  He was the love of her life and introduced her to training horses.  He preceded her in death but the love of horses he passed on to her became not only her passion but her livelihood in later years.  She was a member of Grace Chapel in Carbondale.

Becky is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Marion Sheddan and her longtime companion Thomas Holder.  She is survived by a son, Brandon (Paula) Rogers of Burnet, Texas, a daughter Toni (Reverend Kenneth) Haggstrom of Florence, Texas; a brother, Charles (Terri) Sheddan of Geneseo, Illinois; a sister, Margaret Gunnells of Carbondale, Kansas; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the Grace Chapel in Carbondale.  Interment will be at the Carbondale Cemetery.
