Rebecca A. Mack, 84, loving mother of eight children, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020. She was born February 26, 1936 at Westmoreland the daughter of Clifford and Goldie J. Robinson Weber. Rebecca had worked at St. Francis as a nurse’s aide. She worked for St. Francis Dialysis Center as a machine technician when she retired. Rebecca raised eight children on her own, Robert, Marvin, Larry, Terry, Leslie, Albert, Linda and Cynthia.
Others knew her as “Momma Mack.” She had a passion for baking banana nut bread, homemade chocolate candy, peanut brittle, and cooking big meals for family and friends, along with her amazing cross-stitching projects that took months to complete. Some were gifts to her family members and some she sold. She was an avid country music fan, enjoyed dancing, and she collected angels and frogs.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Juanita Peterson; her sons, Robert and Marvin Mack; and granddaughters, Roberta Mack and April D. Cobos.
She is survived by six children, Linda S. Cobos (Patrick) of Topeka, Larry D. Mack of Topeka, Albert Mack (Debbie) of Topeka, Leslie C. Mack of Topeka, Terry W. Mack (Carla) of Kansas City, Missouri, and Cynthia Mack of Topeka; her brothers, Robert Wylie of Oskaloosa, Kansas and Tom Wylie, El Paso, Texas. She is survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
