OBITUARY: Raymond Robert Grimmett
Raymond Robert Grimmett, 70, Topeka went home to be with the Lord on Wed. morning, Dec. 21, 2005. He was born March 27, 1935, at Emporia the son of Raymond Kenneth and Ava Irene (Buck) Grimmett.
Raymond was a truck driver for Roadway Freight Express. He attended Community Church.
He was married to Daisy Lucille Price. They were divorced.
Surviving are 2 daughters: Darla Folds and Glenda Martin both of Topeka; a son: Boyd Grimmett of Berryton; his mother: Ava Grimmett of Topeka; 2 sisters: Betty Barngrover of Grantville and Joyce Beals of Berryton; 3 brothers: Harold Grimmett of Topeka, Donald Grimmett of Meriden, and Cecil Grimmett of Wakarusa; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tues., Dec. 27, 2005, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence. Interment will be in Grantville Cemetery.
Raymond will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday.
