Raymond Floyd Tibbits
Raymond Floyd Tibbits, 68, of Meriden formerly of Topeka died Thurs., May 25, 2006 at his home. He was born August 2, 1937, in Topeka to Earl Oliver and Lucille Marie (Peavler) Tibbits. Raymond met the love of his life and married Jeanette Marie Sipp on June 8, 1958. She preceded him in death March 5, 1994.
He worked at Kansas Sand and Concrete until he retired.
He is survived by one brother, Donald Tibbits, four daughters, Dora M. Ray and husband, Benny Ray, Sandi Ray and husband, Rusty Ray, Irene Tibbits and husband Caroline Scott, Vicki Neeley and husband, Daryl Neeley, one son, Gayland Tibbits, 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
He has now joined the love of his life and will be missed and loved always.
Raymond will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence Ave. after 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2006 where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 31, 2006, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel. Interment will be in Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery.
