Ralph F. Fidler, Sr., 89, of Topeka passed away at his home on Monday, January 2, 2023. He was born on September 26, 1933 at Ozawkie, Kansas the son of Jessie and Mary V. Barkley Fidler. He was raised there with his six sisters. He graduated from Perry Rural High School. He lived many years at Perry, later McLouth before moving to Topeka three years ago. He enjoyed teaching and coaching softball and coached Crystal’s team at Perry. He enjoyed working in the yard and watching WWE wrestling and old westerns on TV. He was a member of the Nazarene Church at McLouth. Ralph’s favorite holiday was Christmas. He was a big fan of KU basketball and the Kansas City Chiefs. Ralph enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Darlene Fidler of Topeka; daughters, Arlene Copeland of Grantville, Jackie Fidler of Winchester, Mardi Fidler of Topeka and Crystal Mapes of Newton; six sisters, Bessie Melhauser, Mary Ann Briggs, Carol Gross, Judy Welch, Charlotte Wolfe and Debbie Bansfield; 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son, Ralph Fidler, Jr. and a daughter Janie Sheley.
