Phillip "Jim" Clouse, 78, of Topeka, passed away on January 7, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.
Jim was born on October 3, 1943 to Phillip and Beryl (Cross) Clouse in Leavenworth, Kansas.
Jim retired from the State of Kansas Department of Transportation as an Engineer Technician after 22 years.
Jim married Janice Kent February 9, 1965 in Topeka. Later in life Jim married Judy Nightingale on August 16, 1980, in Hutchinson, Kansas.
Jim was an avid softball player. After his playing days, he became an umpire and a basketball official for over 20 years. He enjoyed coaching his children and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was a member of Topeka Officials Association and Fairlawn Church of the Nazarene.
Phillip is survived by his loving wife, Judy; children, Troy (Katy) Clouse, Jason (Amy) Allen, and Dara (Joel) Fairfield; sisters, Deloris (Ed) Kytta and Patricia Ried; grandchildren, Dagen Clouse, Aiden Allen, Piper Allen, Melissa Clouse, Lauren Clouse and Kyler Fairfield; and a host of extended family.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents; his son, Michael Dion Clouse; siblings, Roberta Smith, Leon Spain, Donna Woodward, and Linda Hern.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 14, 2022, 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Parker-Price Funeral Home.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022, 2:00 pm at the Parker-Price Funeral Home.
Inurnment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to the Interim Hospice Care, Silver Lake School Foundation, or Helping Hands Humane Society.
